Perched on the cliff-top above Mirtiotissa Beach, Elia Restaurant has a well earned reputation for both the quality of the dishes it serves and the freshness of the ingrediënts that go into them.
Owned and run by Stefanos, Maria and family, the restaurant uses only fresh products in its kitchen, much of which is grown on their nearby garden.
As well as a variety of dishes from the Greek mainland,
Elia serves also the classic cuisine of Corfu:
Pastisada, beef cooked in a red sauce and served with pasta.
Sofrito, beef in a parsley and garlic sauce
Stifado, beef stewed with baby onions.
Pastitsio, layers of macaroni and meat sauce.
All this food is cooked in a traditional wood-oven by Stefanos himself.
Mirtiotissa Beach is about 250 metres further down the hill and Elia makes a cool and convenient place to enjoy a drink or a snack between swims.
In the evening you can sit at the bar and enjoy a wide selection of local and imported beers, wines and spirits.
Elia sells coffee and cool drinks 'on the go' for the way down to the beach.
There is plenty of free parking for those using the restaurant.
The restaurant is open from the beginning of May until the end of October.
The restaurant can be used for events and celebrations as birthday, children's party, marriage, musicparty, dinerparty, etc.
